How did Say-Hello start?
How can people with nothing be happier than people with everything? This was the burning question after returning from a charity trip to build homes in the Dominican Republic, late in 2023. I only had one reasonable answer , they had community and that community relied on connections, fostered by conversations. Since the beginning of time communities keep people safe, share resources or individual skills. Connection is a basic human need and lack of connection is a factor in many of our modern day social challenges. How do we make connections, create communities…..we Say-Hello! I truly believe that there is a direct link between the number of unsolicited hello’s and the happiness of our city, province and country. I also believe that so many of our differences can be solved through understanding, which requires a conversation that starts with Hello!
